Repair & Restoration

A small repair can occasionally be made in situ, depending on the location of the broken piece and overall condition of the panel.

The matrix of lead and cement is what gives the panel rigidity and once this has failed the panel will need to be rebuilt with new lead and cement. During restoration or installation steel strips or support bars can be added to enhance the durability of the panel.
